Nidularium’s are very comparable to Neoregelia as far as general cultivation is concerned.

The major contrast between the two groups is light requirements with Nidularium’s performing better in low light situations. Strong light will grow a better conformed plant in every case but in a shaded garden were Neoregelia will mostly be green Nidulariums will perform.

Fertilising is not as a requirement for this group of plants as with Neoregelia and Billbergia but will grow a larger,greener specimen. Cold sensitvity is also not a huge hurdle but try to keep out of frost suseptible areas.
